How do I start - is there a waiting list?

Commencing counselling can be a big step for many people, therefore I try not to operate from a waiting list and get people in as soon as I can.  I like to have an initial conversation with potential clients over the phone in the first instance to make sure we are a good fit.

What are your fees?

Payment for sessions is $185 on the day of service via direct deposit.

If you are able to obtain a "Mental Health Care Plan" (MHCP) from your GP, part of the service cost ($74.80) is refunded via Medicare for up to 10 sessions per year.  Please note that a MHCP is not a simple GP referral, it is a 4 page document that only the GP can provide.  I will also need a copy of the MHCP to add to my file for auditing purposes.

If you are on the NDIS, counselling services are normally fully funded, but check with your care coordinator.  If you are under 65 are diagnosed with Parkinson's or Parkinson's Plus Syndromes, and not yet on the NDIS, I can assist you to put your application together for future supports.

Some private health funds may also cover counselling or offer a partial rebate, however you need to check this with your provider, as some will only cover counselling services provided by a registered psychologist.
